Q - Do you have just one online exercise program for all levels

A - The exercises are chosen so they are hard or easy for all. What I mean by this

is that we can make each exercise easier and harder, by how much help we give each person. If a person is struggling to do an exercise then the “helper” will increase the level of help they are giving and if they are capable then they will decrease. We can also make it harder by changing angles and adding weights.

Q - Are there different sets of exercises for different level of abilities?

A - The exercises are chosen so they are hard or easy for all. What I mean by this is that we can make each exercise easier and harder, by how much help we give each person. If a person is struggling to do an exercise then the “helper” will increase the level of help they are giving and if they are capable then they will decrease. We can also make it harder by changing angles and adding weights.

Q - We tried similar exercises before and he/she can’t do more than half of them.

A - This is not a problem! Managing part or some of the exercises is a great start, but remember if you can only do some of the exercises today, by pushing a little more and doing another one, two or three then by the time you get to another week that becomes easier. Everybody has the physical ability to improve and change but to do this we need to increase the difficulty and or push ourselves.

So i would say this is not a problem but try and remember what you achieved yesterday and do one more the next day.

Q - My child can’t do so many exercises in one position without changing type of activities or using

A - Why ? Is it because the muscle gets tired ? Do the muscles get a little uncomfortable ? Does your child get bored ?

If you were working directly with me in the centre we would be doing a lot of this as it's important to allow the body to work to “discomfort” not pain but discomfort. Remember the human body needs to feel that to grow stronger.

Children don’t have lactic acid build up, this is because the mitochondria (the power storage and transformer in the body) doesn’t fully work until puberty. This is why kids don’t get such sore muscles as adults, but also why kids just drop, energy wise. We have to keep their energy (food) levels up as kids run on pure sugar.

So, I would say do the exercise amount that you can do and then do 5 more- this will push the body to transform.

If it is out of boredom then I would say we also need to push mental resilience. Mental resilience is very important as this is something that we need to work on, as it helps for concentration and teaches that we can do more than we think if we push through and try.
